The structure for the Dam Leakage monitoring is located on the Nam Ngum River, north of the Nam Ngum Dam I, about 90km out of Vientiane. The objective of the Nam Ngum II Dam Leakage monitoring project is to produce electricity for sale to Thailand and for local consumption.
Aim of monitoring:
Monitor the seepage at the level of the plinth and use the active detection system with the heat pulse method.
Main results:
A total of 2 independent cables (approx. 900 m each) were integrated into the filter zone by surface installation. DiTemp Light reading unit with 4Ch will measure the temperature profiles.
