The new SHM system for the hulls, will be integrated for developing and testing in 2 different ships: – The « Four Springs » bulk carrier – An Icebreaker ship
Aim of monitoring:
Detecting long period hull thickness reduction, enabling to identify any possible risk associated to the excessive localized corrosion or to the extended structural alteration. Short term overload detection and long term fatigue analysis.
